PMT DirecTV Training Camp Tour Stop 1 Featuring 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan + Peter King

When we scheduled this mini training camp tour I’ll be totally honest I didn’t really know what to expect. Not a whole lot goes on at training camps for the most part, and it feels like the same 3 stories get written over and over. Well I was wrong, very wrong. Because the 49ers and Rams hooked it up. We showed up to Levi’s Stadium on Sunday and with the help of my dad Bob Lange set up shop in the Groundscrew’s office (shout out those guys for letting us hang all day). And then from there we got some really great interviews with Kyle Shanahan, talking openly and honestly about the Super Bowl, his time in Cleveland, and what he loves about Jimmy, and Peter King, who did the Mt Rushmore of travel complaints. Rams camp was the same deal yesterday (those videos are coming later this week). Goff, McVay, and Suh (not trying to spell his first name) were all great and super accommodating with their time. So all in all this was a good choice. Yes I have to deal with California teenagers that are insanely intimidating, and yes I was stuck on the 405 in rush hour last night, but overall getting access to these guys in their home environment so they feel comfortable and are willing to talk, makes it all worth it.
