The Florida Gators Are Looking At A Disastrous 2021 Season
Ben Mintz: Florida UNDER 9 wins
Florida lost their entire offense of Kyle Trask, Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney and Trevon Grimes. Emory Jones has been less than stellar in small stints and the Gators are expecting a pretty good sized regression here considering the talent that has left for the NFL.
Kelly in Vegas: Iowa State UNDER 9.5 wins
Very interesting pick from our newest gambling hire but I don‘t hate it. Iowa State is a team that brings back a lot of talent especially on offense including QB Brock Purdy, stud RB Breece Hall, both of their stud TE’s Charlie Kolar and Chase Allen and Big 12’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year from 2020 at WR in Xavier Hutchinson. That’s all great but at the end of the day this comes down to their schedule. The games you really have to worry about when it comes to this win total are Iowa at home, Kansas State and West Virginia on the road are sneaky tough games, Oklahoma State at home, Texas at home and Oklahoma on the road. Realistically you need them to lose three of those games to go under 9.5. Oklahoma State and Texas should definitely be improved from last year and Oklahoma with the defense their returning should be even more of a force in the Big 12 than usual.
Brandon Walker: Georgia Tech OVER 5 wins
Coming into year three under Geoff Collins this is a big year for Georgia Tech a coach and the entire football program. There‘s no excuses about changing the culture and getting “your guys” in the program. In year three this is finally his team. They have really promising young QB Jeff Sims coming into his second year with the team after getting a ton of experience directing the offense last year as a true freshman and should see a big progression in year two. This is a team that had its ups and downs last year but showed some flashes on offense and should be able to put up some points in the ACC.
Big Ev: Fresno State OVER 6 wins
There might not be any team in the country that got hit harder by Covid than Fresno State last season. They held no in person activities from March all the way until September 25th and still started the season 3-1 until they got hit by the Covid bug again and had two more games canceled. They found their QB in Jake Haener who averaged throwing for 337 yards per game last season while bringing back all three of their top WRs back and stud super senior RB Ronnie Rivers. They also return 9 starters on defense and even though they have some tough out of conference games in Oregon and UCLA I still think their in a strong position to win 7 games this year.
Marty Mush: Arizona UNDER 2.5 wins
They stink and lost to Arizona State by 1000 last year. God bless you if you take the over.
