We invited Captain Cons onto the show this week.  He and I sat down with a small wine producer named Michael Zinke of Zinke Wines out in Santa Barbara to get his perspective on the biz and to also do a virtual tasting of my favorite grape... The Syrah.

Zinke has managed to be an outlier in the wine community even though they are a small operation (5 employees).  Most wineries in their area are down 50%+ in overall sales since the pandemic began... Zinke is only down 16%, and that outperformance can be chalked up to the fact that they are pumping out a fucking OUTSTANDING product.
