KFC Has Spent Four Days Being Triggered Because Kirk Minihane Laughed At This Quote From His Shane Gillis Interview
Four days ago Kirk Minihane had the audacity to laugh at a sound clip of KFC stuttering through an interview with Shane Gillis. For those who don't know, Gillis was hired and fired by Saturday Night Live in a 24-hour window after podcast clips of him mocking Chinatown with racially charged language surfaced. At the time, KFC and Feitelberg basically supported the firing, suggesting that cancel culture doesn't even exist. When the firing came up during the interview, things got a little awkward. KFC said the following:
So, so, we got into it with [the Kirk Minihane Show] cause we were basically like -- that didn't surprise me -- like you were going, you were, you were about to start a job at channel four NBC network and they found some shit of you saying some pretty off color stuff -- that, I feel like that's going to happen 100 out of 100 times -- and, and we are kinda of the school of thought -- especially, we've been doing this a long time, so like, everybody, all of us have -- but, you know, we've been making edgy off-color jokes and kinda getting in trouble for it [unintelligible] -- you're not cancelled if it's -- the whole cancel culture thing spiraled out of control in the other direction in my mind. So we were kind of saying, like, it makes sense that NBC was like "listen I don't know we can't do that" and maybe there's more to the story I don't know.
We had a little chuckle at KFC's tap dancing, but we're now four days removed from that episode and he's bitched on Twitter, he's bitched on KFC Radio, and he's bitched on the Kirk Minihane Show. He joined the last segment of Barstool Radio today and attempted to sort out the scandal with Minihane.
