BSC 2019 Top 20 Countdown - #19 Responsibly Murdering Miller Lites On The Miller Lite Sailboat

A Note From Carl - This is the 2nd entry in the Barstool Chicago Top 20 Moments of 2019 blog series. The list is coming from our perspective as 4 dudes who got the job of a lifetime exactly one year ago.

We covered this list in person at the December 20th live show. We're following it up on our podcasts to close out the year under following schedule:

#20-16: Red Line Radio 12/23

#15-11: Dog Walk 12/23

#10-6: Red Line Radio 12/30

#5-1: Dog Walk 12/30

I'll be covering them on the blog one-by-one. I have no rhyme or reason to length or content other than I just want to give each one of these moments their own blog. And on a personal level, I want to hit 2020 in full stride and nothing says momentum like firing off 20 straight blogs to end the year:

#19 Responsibly Murdering Miller Lites On The Miller Lite Sailboat

Checking in at #19 on the Barstool Chicago Top 20 Countdown of 2019 is the time Miller Lite let us take their sailboat out for the day and responsibly destroy beers. Maybe not a huge moment for everyone else, but for us it was sweet because Miller Lite reached out early in the summer with an invitation. It was maybe 5-6 months after going full time, largely because Miller Lite was willing to sponsor Red Line Radio and take a shot on Barstool Chicago. Sounds awesome but naturally there's some stress when you've literally never done this job before and don't know how things are going to go. Just being honest with you guys.

That said, imagine our relief when Miller Lite reaches out early in the Summer with this invitation to take a day off with them on the lake. To get buzzed on some Lites while getting buzzed by F-16's during the Air & Water Show.

Obviously that makes for an awesome time. No one is denying that fact. But what makes it #19 is that no one fell in the water and everyone stayed safe. For all intents and purposes, the Barstool Chicago office is not marine-friendly. WSD probably floats alright but other than that we'd be so fucked if something went wrong. So chalk this up to cool experience + Miller Lite being a great partner + no horrible deaths. Any time you give me that mix, I'll give a top 20 annual moment.
