Tommy's Thursday Thoughts: Vol. 37 - Late People And Their Clocks
-If you and a group leave your seats at a game and make people get up for you, then you have to come back with the entire group. The worst is when people come back in two or three separate trips, and keep making people get up. One trip out. One trip back. It’s just common courtesy.
-People who are frequently late will sometimes set their clock forward ~5 minutes to help them be on time. I don’t understand this. They will always know that the clock is just wrong and that it’s actually five minutes earlier. So I don’t see how this would help their habitual tardiness.
-If you’re not someone who gets creative with your Venmo messages, then I don’t want to associate myself with you.
-When deciding on a restaurant to go to, it bothers me when someone says they “don’t like how the menu looks.” There could be a lot of stuff on it you don’t like, but there just has to be one thing on it that you do like. You’re not eating the whole menu. Just one item.
-One of sports’ greatest traditions is middle-aged men yelling “Don’t do it!” when there’s a marriage proposal on the jumbotron.
-Whenever I ask someone if they watch Survivor, the response is almost always, “No but I used to.” Pretty sad.
-One of my biggest pet peeves is buildings that look like houses but aren’t actually houses. I’ll pass by and think “Wow that’s a really nice house.” But it turns out that it’s just a dentist office or funeral home or some shit that only looks like a house. Makes me look like a total fucking idiot.
-When you see a restaurant or some other place with the name of someone you know, it’s a big time mom move to say “Oh look! That place is called Andrew’s! You should take a picture of that send it to your friend Andrew!” Uh, no thanks mom you nerd.
-You still have to memorize memorization devices
-I’ve had enough of seeing thoughts trending every day of the week on Twitter. #MondayThoughts #WednesdayThoughts #FridayThoughts. Enough already. There’s not even any alliteration there! Just leave it at #ThursdayThoughts and that’s that.

-Why do people add on to a crazy story, “You can’t make this stuff up!” First of all, you can make literally anything up. The human imagination is funny like that. Also, if it’s such a crazy story then it’s more likely to be made up. People make up crazy stories, not boring ones.
Thank you for your time.
