Riggs vs Cabot Cliffs, 15th Hole (Nova Scotia, Canada) by Peter Millar

Cabot Cliffs’ 15th hole is my single favorite hole in the world. I know we (I) may use “favorite” for a lot of things, but this hole truly is my single favorite hole in the world. And Cabot Cliffs is my single favorite golf course in the world.

The hole is perfect. It stuns you the second you walk onto the tee. It presents you options off that tee: rip driver left to the narrower but higher section of the fairway to gain an all-world view of the green, or going right to the wider and safer part, but leave yourself a blind shot in (the Riggsy). The fairway is wide and generous. Then you have more decisions to make on your second shot. Go for it? If so, where does your ball need to land on the firm, downhill undulations running down to the green? Speaking of the green, seeing it for the first time as you walk over the precipice is just so damn cool.

Big thanks to Peter Millar for my 10/10 fit check. They really, truly, genuinely make both the most comfortable and the best-looking gear. Look how fresh I look. It’s nuts.

Shoutout to my dude Dillon. Yes I posted an emotional tweet or two and I meant it. Dude lives and works in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada and he’s just a great buddy of mine. He’s been on the bag for every shot I’ve ever hit at Cabot. Every drink I’ve had. Cannot wait to see him and all the other fine people of Nova Scotia again next year, and the year after that, and the year after that…

Here are a bunch of other shots of Cabot Cliffs. We played it in both sunny and overcast conditions, so you’ll see both. Again, my single favorite course in the world… and here is why.
