Need An Enforcer For Your Professional Hockey Team? Look No Further Than The Local Bar
We introduce to you the story of Lee Jacobson. Lee was a bouncer at a local bar in Cincinnati during the NHL lockout during the 2003-2004 season. Joffrey Lupul happened to be on the Cincinnati Might Ducks that season and would hang out at the bar that Jacobson was a bouncer at. After a few games of Sheldon Brookbank and Shane O’Brien taking the brunt of the fights for the Mighty Ducks, the boys decided enough was enough and signed Jacobson up to be the new enforcer.
Jacobson went on to play 18 games for the Mighty Ducks that season and added over 100 penalty minutes. Jacobson never recorded an AHL point but was actually able to join the Augusta Linx of the ECHL in 2005-2006 and added two goals. Pretty good for a bouncer.
