Jilly Football And Kate Kick It At The US Soccer Team Victory Parade

This morning I joined the fantastic PMT interns (Jilly Football & Jake Marsh) & headed down to the US Women’s National Team World Cup victory parade. It took place in Manhattan’s hallowed ‘Canyon of Heroes’ where heads of state, veterans returning from wars, and sports champions have been reveling in the ticker tape confetti since 1886.

It was an awesome vibe to be around all the admiring fans, but especially exciting to see all the little girls with homemade signs & shirts shouting up to their favorite players. Badass, unapologetic women who excel in their sport lighting up the next generation… All here for it.

Another bonus, though slightly less touching, I snagged a bag of confetti from a trash truck. If you watch to the very end of the video, you’ll see if we had any success selling handfuls of it on the subway after the parade. $5 a pop.

Congrats again to the champs – cheers!
