Is Josh McDaniels Headed to the Browns?

Brandon Marshall played under current Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels when he got his first head coaching gig in Denver in 2009. While he ‘hated’ playing under McDaniels in Denver, the two have remained close and Marshall thinks he’ll do a great job in his next opportunity. McDaniels is a hot name associated with at least three head coaching vacancies at the moment.

According to Marshall who we had on the latest Surf & Turf podcast, McDaniels would be looking for a ‘shop for’ and ‘cook the groceries’ situation with and eye on a team where he could be the coach with total personnel control.  Interestingly enough, one of the teams McDaniels is set to interview with, the Cleveland Browns just let their GM go…

Check out his thoughts on McDaniels as well as some great stories about his relationship with Jay Cutler, why Ryan Fitzpatrick was his favorite QB he ever played with, how he almost got traded to the Browns in 2010, and so much more.
