Former Chargers Great Shawne Merriman is in Favor of the NFL Season Moving to 18 Games
With the NFL CBA set to expire after the 2020 season and growing angst over the regular priced ticket pre-season games, there has been talks that the owners governors will try and push to eliminate the pre-season altogether and make the regular season 18 games. Almost every player/former player is against it, but Shawne Merriman has a different point of view. He has headed up an MMA league and is dealing with the other side of TV contract discussions and he would be in favor of moving to 18 games assuming the players were compensated accordingly.
