Mr. Kraft Hanging Out with Gucci Mane and Meek Mill is the Least Surprising Thing Ever

Last night when the cameras cut to some crowd shots during yet another Celtics Comeback for the Ages, they caught Mr. Kraft having a nice conversation with his very good friends Gucci Mane and Meek Mill. There’s not a man, woman or child living in New England for the last 20 years who’s been paying attention to anything who was the least bit surprised. But judging by the Twitter reaction, the rest of the country still doesn’t grasp the concept of a paper goods billionaire from Brookline hanging out with a rapper from Bessemer, Alabama and another from South Philly:

This was actually trending for a while last night. We’re talking about the most accomplished businessman of our times, and still he’s capable of surprising people? In the words of Pedro Martinez, “Where you been, man?” Does the public honestly not know that it was Mr. Kraft’s advocating that helped get Meek released from jail a couple of weeks ago? That he’s a man of the world who, when he’s not having dinner with the presidents of the United States and Japan …

… he’s with Snoop?

… or that when he isn’t having private concerts performed for him by his close, personal friend Sir Elton John, he’s got Wiz Khalifa play his Super Bowl ring party?

So the only surprise would be if he wasn’t sitting courtside with two of the biggest names in Hip Hop. And as far as all the snarky comments asking what they could possibly have to talk about, the answer is simple. They talked about the things they have in common. Success. Power. Money. Women. Winning at life. Basketball. And probably how much of a spectacular douche Kevin Hart was being.
