Titus O'Neil Tripping On His Way To The Ring Is An All Time Moment In WWE History

On Friday, the WWE hosted an event called “The Greatest Royal Rumble” in Saudi Arabia. The card as a whole was weird as hell, and completed dictated by what one Saudi Prince requested (since they were paying the WWE millions upon millions of dollars to put this show on), so it included John Cena vs Triple H, a Fatal-4-Way ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, a steel cage match for the WWE Universal Championship, a casket match featuring The Undertaker, and the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble, where Titus O’Neil made history by making the best entrance of all time. As you could see above, he tripped on some mats and got absolutely SWALLOWED by the ring. This moment was initially missed by WWE cameras, but shown on replay legit six or seven times over the course of the next five minutes, and that was the call of Vince McMahon, who reportedly was doubled-over and crying of laughter as soon as he knew Titus was okay, as was everyone else backstage. I’ve heard since that there was an initial panic from most in the locker room thinking he may have domed himself on the steel beam supporting the ring (seen below) but the second they knew he was alright, gorilla position turned into a party station.

Overall, the “Greatest Royal Rumble” was one of the most disappointing wrestling events I can recall in quite some time. It sorta seemed like 90% of the roster was working light and phoning it in, and I honestly can’t blame them as most of the crowd wasn’t even paying attention to their matches or reacting at all. A lot of the Royal Family sitting on the floor had their backs turned to the ring all night, conversing with others in the crowd and treating it as if it were a cocktail hour with live music on as entertainment or something.

My favorite piece of insider-info that has come out about the event was that the Saudi Prince who basically booked the show initially requested three wrestlers appear at the event…

The Undertaker…the Ultimate Warrior…and Yokozuna.

One of those performers is the Deadman, and the other two…well, they’re dead, man. So to make it up to the Prince, McMahon just put a random sumo wrestler who has never has any association with the WWE in the past in the Royal Rumble, hoping nobody would notice.

Oh, and this happened:

Fucking Jinder.
