Elon Musk Made An April Fools Day Joke About Tesla Going Bankrupt And It Caused Tesla's Stock To Drop

LA Times- Tesla Inc. stock dropped Monday morning as the maker of electric cars comes out of a week of bad news — including a big recall of Model S cars and an investigation into a fatal crash of a Model X SUV — and investors expect the company will announce disappointing delivery numbers for its Model 3 car. Tesla shares slid more than 7% before recovering somewhat; about 9 a.m. PDT, they were down 5.7% at $251.05. They have sunk nearly 20% this year.  On Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board said it would investigate the fatal crash of a Model X SUV in Northern California. The vehicle hit a highway barrier near Mountain View on March 16 and then caught fire. Tesla said later in the week that the car’s semiautonomous Autopilot feature was engaged at the time of the crash and that the driver had his hands off the wheel for six seconds.

Elon Musk is the dumbest rich person alive. I’m serious. KFC has tried to give that title to David Portnoy but I say it’s Elon Musk. Sure, he builds rockets and is trying to get us to Mars and has people convicted that he’s the smartest man to ever live but there are times when he’s just a big dumb dumb. This is for sure one of those times. Has he not been paying attention at all to social media and the affect it has on a company’s stock? Well he should because Rihanna, Chrissy Teigen and Kylie Jenner are about to take down Snapchat all by themselves with tweets. Elon is firing off those tweets about his own company. That’s how dumb be is. Not to mention his self-driving cars are killing people left and right. Elon saw this as a perfect opportunity to bring some levity to the situation and tweet a good ol’ fashioned April Fools joke. And the stock dropped. The whole cars killing people thing likely had more to do with the stock drop but him tweeting that certainly didn’t help.

How long until Elon Musk is a beggar on the street? How long until he’s a homeless person we all see on the subway? It might seem impossible right now (current net worth is hovering around 18.5 billion dollars) but I’d go as far as to say it’s probable. He makes dumb decisions constantly and continues to make false promises. Once the rest of the world catches up to me and Bill Gates and Tim Cook about how much of a fraud he is, he’s gonna go broke in a heart beat. I’m not rooting for it to happen but I’m not not rooting for it to happen.
