Donald Glover Dunks On FX After Network Executives Cancel His Deadpool TV Show

Honestly, all that was tl;dr but Donald Glover seemingly pulled a classic husband move on FX executives. If you follow Donald Glover, you know he’s everywhere. He’s going to be Simba in the live action Lion King. He’s in Star Wars. He’s about to do a music tour. He writes movies. He’s all over the place because he’s one of the most talented people on Earth. So, naturally, an animated FX series probably isnt on the top of his list of priorities at the moment and; as a result, FX canceled the show.

When they did that, Donald wanted to prove that he wasn’t busy so he wrote the script for the finale. I’ve been there as a husband. My honey-do list piles up and my wife will say something like, “oh. I guess you just are too busy to change the air filter this month.” When she does that, I change all the filters in my house as well as every filter in my entire neighborhood. After that, I change all the burnt-out lightbulbs and do all of the other chores I’ve been neglecting. Except mowing the grass. I’ll never mow the grass. It makes my allergies act up! Maybe the next time she asks me to mow I will just write a screenplay about mowing. She’ll probably be impressed by my creativity and give me some buns on a Tuesday morning. That would be cool. I’ll add that idea to the log.
