I'm 1,000,000% In Favor Of More Mic'd Up Interviews During Live-Game Action Across All Sports

We need SO much more of this, not even a question! Having a player mic’d into the broadcast booth is perfect for baseball because there’s so much down-time and so little chance of injury happening as a result of a little chit-chat, but we need it in all sports. Imagine a WR talking to the broadcast booth right before burning a CB, or just being able to live-listen in on a hockey player during a power-play, it would change the dynamics of watching sports on TV forever.

But again, it’s such a no-brainer for baseball. Throw an ear pierce on a few guys, and just enjoy some banter all game long. Who says you need to be in the booth to bring color commentary to the game? Logan Morrison is right there in the brunt of it, and what was even better is the guys rooting him on, barking at him “get there, get there, you have time you’re good”. I could see that being frowned upon, but besides that, the idea of on-field interviews during games is a 10/10. It for sure will be happening during the XFL, hopefully baseball adopts it sooner than later as well.
