Elsa Saved A Boston Police Truck In The Snow Storm, But Stop Calling Him A Drag Queen

This video is going bananas viral right now with people suuuuuper overreacting to it. Folks are screaming (tweeting) about how it shows the “spirit” of Boston and how it’s the greatest thing ever. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice video and something I almost certainly wouldn’t do. Leave a bar? In a snowstorm? To help a fellow citizen get their car out of the snow? You’re talking to the wrong guy.

But what’s really upsetting is everyone calling this gentleman a drag queen.

I won’t allow the good name of drag queens to be marginalized on the internet. A drag queen is a lifestyle, they are dedicated to dressing up as chicks and non-confirmty. They wear dressed to First Communions and court dates alike. This guy just wore a Frozen costume to have some fun in a snowstorm while getting drunk because the city was closed the next day. He’s a good dude, don’t get me wrong, but he ain’t no drag queen. You gotta be all in on the drag queen game and wearing a costume for one night doesn’t earn you that title.
