The Universe Is Crazy: A Married Couple Showed Up In The Same Photograph 11 Years Before They Met

The Star - A couple from China, who have been married for five years, recently discovered that they had crossed paths as teenagers nearly two decades ago – and it was an old photograph that revealed this part of their love story.

The couple from Chengdu were left speechless, when they found out that they had both visited the May Fourth Square in the seaside city of Qingdao at the exact same moment in July 2000.

They were strangers at the time, and Ye was on holiday and visiting the landmark with a tour group, reported local media.

His future wife, surnamed Xue, was there with her mother.

Xue, clad in a white dress, had taken a photograph in front of a large sculpture in the public square.

As fate would have it, Ye can be seen in the background of the photo, striking a pose for his own snapshot.

About 11 years after the photos were taken, the couple reportedly met in Chengdu, where they fell in love, got married and started a family.

Amazing. I love stories like this. 8 billion people in the world, and these two were in each other’s picture 11 years before they met. How is that even possible? How does the universe work like that? Just two ships in the night, innocently passing, taking a picture in China which I believe has 4 billion of the 8 billion people, and those two end up not only meeting, but falling in love and getting married. The chances of that don’t even exist. There’s not a number small enough that explains how small the probability of something like that happening. And for it to be captured in a photograph too…how? Howwwwww?

I want to say it’s fake because it’s so much easier to be skeptical of such a phenomenon like this, but this isn’t fake. This is as real as it gets. This is the universe working in ways that only the universe can work.

I often think about this type of thing too. All the strangers we pass on the streets of NYC day in and day out- millions upon million of humans- who are they? What impact do they have on my life without me knowing it? When you meet someone knew, have you passed that person on the street before? Have you sat on a Subway car with them? Were they in the background of a picture you took at Disney World when you were 8 year old? This world is an amazing place, there’s no explaining how that picture is possible. Absolutely mind blowing.
