Sometimes You Drink Away Your Wedding Nerves And Get Popped For DUI On The Way To The Ceremony

MARANA, Ariz. — Something borrowed, something blue and something in handcuffs might not make the best wedding. But a woman in a white dress was pictured in handcuffs during the day in Marana, Arizona, located northwest of Tucson. Marana police said the bride was arrested for driving under the influence on the way to her wedding. Sgt. Chriswell Scott said the arrest happened Monday morning after officers responded to a three-vehicle collision in which one person was transported with minor injuries. “Don’t drive impaired, till death do we part doesn’t need any help,” Scott said in a message on Twitter.

I don’t know what it says about me but a woman in a wedding dress getting arrested has me feeling some type of way. I’m into it. I’m very attracted to that picture and I’m not sure why. It can’t bode well for my taste in women, I’ll tell you that. I have some stressful days of dating ahead of me to be sure.

Anyway. Nothing about the above story is surprising to me. the bride had a few sips of giggle juice before she committed her entire life to one person. Big deal. The surprising thing is that more people don’t get arrested for drunken behavior on their wedding day. I’d imagine that’s a stress-packed day. Because, up until your wedding day, your head pops off the pillow and you are free to sleep with whomever you want. You might be in a committed relationship but you can always just head for the door. No harm no foul. You’re still free to sleep with as many or as few people. But that changes drastically on your wedding day. That’s real commitment. Not to mention there’s all this pressure and you gotta give speeches and say hello to people you don’t care about. That will drive even the most sober person to drink. That’s what happened to that beautiful bride. The only piece of advice I would throw that bride’s way is to start drinking at the church. Although the arrest ultimately falls on the bride’s friends. Where are they? That’s the real question. Brides are supposed to be waited on hand and foot on their wedding day. What is this chick doing driving herself to her own wedding? This is on the bridesmaids.
