I Can't Believe BUMBLE Is The Official Jersey Sponsor of the Clippers. Bumble!!!!
Bloomberg - Bumble, a social network company best known for a dating app where women make the first move, will place its logo on the uniform of the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team.
Bumble will pay about $20 million over three years, according to a person familiar with the deal who asked not to be identified because the terms are private. It’s part of a broader agreement between the company and Steve Ballmer’s NBA franchise.
“We saw the opportunity to create change together,” Wolfe Herd said in an interview. “When you see this logo it stands for something more. It stands for empowerment.”
In an interview, Ballmer said the Clippers held talks with a number of companies but found the opportunity for alignment with Bumble “fascinating.”
“It’s a great opportunity to associate a brand, mostly with women, with sports — and the Clippers,” Ballmer said. “There just aren’t that many presidents of any sports teams who are women and well-equipped to make that bridge.”
Bumble had 29 million users as of last week, according to a spokesman.

Bumble?!? Freaking Bumble is the official uniform sponsor of the Clippers?! When I saw this last night I thought it was some sort of 1 time deal, but nope. 3 years, $20 million for Bumble to have a patch on the Clippers jersey. Crazy.
For those unfamiliar with Bumble, it’s a dating app where when two people match, the female has to initiate conversation first. It’s sort of like Tinder, but pretends to be a little more “let’s date” than “let’s bang”.
Like when you meet someone on Bumble, you go on a date before going back to your place, while on Tinder you just buy 4 Lokos and chug them on your couch until both parties are proficiently drunk enough to make bad decisions.
Tinder:
Very aggressive!
But Bumble, on the other hand, is more empowering.
.
And now that empowerment will be seen on the Clippers jersey for the next 3 years. Also kinda funny that in the volatile world of the internet, apps, and ever changing technology, Bumble is so sure that they will still be around in 3 years. Ask MySpace how that goes.
It also makes me laugh so much that some little kid will be wearing a Clips jersey, not knowing that Bumble is the reason mommy and daddy (who don’t live together) had him in the first place. It was 2am, mommy was drunk swiping right on everyone in a 5 mile radius, daddy was pounding shots at Hair Of The Dog with his broskis, and next thing you know he was making child support payments for the next 18 years. So if anything, that patch will be a reminder to pull out. Every time you watch the Clippers, just remember, babies change lives.

PS: If Bumble can sponsor the Clippers, Barstool can for sure sponsor the Wizards. Or at least a G-League team. 3 years/20 million to be on the jersey of an NBA team doesn’t sound too expensive AT ALL. That’s basically what Portnoy bets per year on day baseball games in the middle of the season for no reason anyway.
