President Trump Just Owned The Internet With The Classic (Just Kidding, Of Course) Move

I love this move simply because it will drive people INSANE online. The “Sir you must resign” crowd in the replies are absolutely ripshit. And they all played into a fucking middle school joke. The “no offense but” or “with all due respect”, followed by the meanest thing you can possibly say. I’m not a lawyer but I’ve talked to Mr Portnoy many different times on the phone, and legally speaking if you say (just kidding, of course) you can’t be held responsible for anything you say. Even if you aren’t kidding and everyone knows you’re probably not kidding, you said you’re kidding so you’re in the clear. Chess vs Checkers on a Tuesday morning and the entire internet just got checkmated.

I don’t know why but the exclamation mark outside the parentheses kind of blew my mind. I know it’s correct but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Also this may be because I did Liz’s new show this morning so I had to get up at 7 am and my brain is mush. No idea how people get up that early.
