Lamar Jackson Should Tell Any Team That Wants Him To Workout as a Wide Receiver at the Combine To Go Fuck Themselves
This week most of college football’s top prospects head to Indianapolis to workout during the NFL Combine and showcase their physical abilities. Among those that are the most intriguing to show off their skills is Lamar Jackson from Louisville. We all know Action Jackson by now. He’s Mike Vick 2.0, reincarnated to make defenses look silly as he possesses the lethal dual threat of a rocket arm and some of the fastest legs you’ll ever see from someone under center.
There are reports that some NFL teams are requesting Jackson, a quarterback his entire life, to showcase his wide receiver skills. This is flat out insulting. All Jackson did during his time at Louisville was light up the field along with any defense that tried to stop him with his gifted skills. What’s his problem? He’s not Josh Rosen, he’s not Sam Darnold, he’s not Josh Allen. He’s not a super tall white pocket quarterback that has scouts drooling at his measurables. No, instead he’s a dynamic dual threat machine who can keep a defense guessing on every single play. Just when you think you have the man trapped he does stuff like this….
But he can’t throw right? He’s just a runner huh?
Just because he’s a super fast black quarterback some teams dismiss the fact that he won the Heisman trophy in 2016 AS QUARTERBACK and had just as good a year in 2017 doing the same.
Worried about pissing teams off? What does that even mean? Piss every single team that doesn’t care for you to play the position that is getting you into the NFL. You know what you do? Make a goddamn list of every organization that couldn’t give two fucks about you throwing a football and take it out on them when you face them in a game. Fuck them, who ever takes you is getting an absolute freak, who with the right mentoring can become a gigantic problem for the other 31 teams in the league.
I know many will read this and refer to some of my first blogs at this company when I wrote about college football. I think I said something like Louisville could beat Bama in 2016, only for them to completely fall apart because Bobby Petrino has no clue how to coach a team. To be fair, they took Clemson that year down to the wire and if not for a receiver going out of bounds on 4th and 8 instead of diving for the first they might’ve won that game. Clemson went on to win something called the National Championship that year.
