Watching Dave And Liz Talk About Elsa Being A Lesbian Is The Funniest Thing You'll See Today

Source –  Lending credence to rumors which surfaced a couple years ago, principals involved in the making of Disney’s Frozen 2 are keeping alive the possibility of Elsa coming out of the closet as a lesbian.

In fact, everyone involved with the production seems to love the buzz that speculation about Elsa’s sexual orientation is creating regarding the planned sequel.

No one from Disney or anyone else associated with the production have gone on the record to deny the rumors.

The lyrics of “Let It Go” are about rebelling against traditional morals: “I’m the queen…Couldn’t keep it in… Don’t let them see, Be the good girl you always have to be, Conceal, don’t feel.” And the song’s chorus, “Let it go, Can’t hold it back anymore… I don’t care what they’re going to say… No right, no wrong, no rules for me;  I’m free… That perfect girl is gone….”

So far, no plot details have been released about Frozen 2 other than that the release date is November 27, 2019.  But there is plenty of salacious speculation about Disney’s reigning animated princess.

So Liz and Dave talked about it on Spitfire this morning and I legitimately couldn’t stop laughing. Apparently Disney is going to make Elsa a lesbian. I wasn’t even going to watch it (sorry Liz) until Dave walked by my desk, pointed at me and said, “being gay is hot.” I thought maybe he’d noticed that I’ve been working out but he was talking about the movie. Sad. Regardless, it sparked my interest enough to watch the clip and I’m glad I did. If you don’t have ten minutes, start it at (6:52.)

The absurdity of the situation just kills me. Dave Portnoy, the one-hundred million dollar man came into work early to sit in a room with Liz Gonzales and debate the sexuality of a Disney character. What a world. Feel free to use these quote cards any way you see fit.

I would’ve loved for them to take it a step further. Maybe give some predictions into how her look will change once she comes out. Will she go with the half-shaved head or will she leave it long? Will she keep the blue dress and heels or will she trade them in for a flannel and a pair of Birkenstocks? Will she take up woodworking? Will she start hanging out at dive bars? I have so many questions. It’ll be interesting to see what direction Disney takes her character. Hopefully they go all out and ruffle some feathers. It would be great if people got upset over a cartoon. Catch Spitfire everyday on the blog at 11:30 AM.
