HBO Officially Announces That 'Game of Thrones' Won't Return Until 2019

This isn’t shocking news but it’s still upsetting news. We all have to wait until 2019 to see Game of Thrones. Sad. 2019 feels like a million years away. Sure, it’s just one year away, but it still feels like a millions. I’ve often said that Game of Thrones is one of the main reasons to stay alive. Being alive is great and all but there are certain things that really make you wanna get outta bed in the morning. Game of Thrones is one of the main ones for me. I need to see how it ends. I have to see how it ends. I’ve invested 7 years of my life into this thing. 7 years! That’s 1/4 of my life. All dedicated to dragons and kings and queens and gruesome killings and dicks getting cut off and bad weddings and everything. It’d be be a real shame if I bit the dust between now and the premiere of season 8.

And honestly, other people feel the same way. I know they do. Everyone watches GOT and everyone wants to know how it ends. Anything after that is delicious gravy. If I ever find myself in a situation where a guy has a gun to my head I could say, “Listen man, take whatever you want, but don’t kill me. Just don’t kill me. I need to see what happens with the White Walkers” and he’d lower his gun and nod his head in agreement. That’s the power Thrones has over people. Myself included.
