(Update) BREAKING: CBS Reports That Tom Petty Has Died At 66

Already gutted today. This just makes it worse. Tom Petty was found unresponsive in his home and in massive cardiac arrest. TMZ is reporting he had no brain activity and that a decision has been made to pull his life support. As of this posting, there is no official word of his passing. But if reports are true, it’s clearly only a matter of time.

Goddamn it.

I’ll have more on this at a later time.

UPDATE: CBS is now reporting he has died.
