John Wall Signing A 4 Year, 170 Million Dollar Extension Is Wonderful News For Washington

This is wonderful, amazing news. I never thought Wall would stay in DC. Thought he’d bounce to wherever Boogie or AD was playing after this deal ran out. Oh how wrong I was. Wall staying in DC is ginormous. Him showing his loyalty to the Wizards organization makes this a destination for free agents. Maybe Boogie will land here now? They always talk about how they want to play together, it’s a big possibility now. And I love that on the same day he agreed to this deal, the news that Kyrie wants to be traded from the Cavs broke. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. While the Skins can’t re-sign Kirk, and Bryce is probably headed to New York, it’s nice to know John Wall is putting DC on his back. He’s been nothing but amazing to watch develop into a superstar, and boy oh boy do I hope Ted finally fires Ernie and we can bring in a GM who will put the right pieces together around Wall and give him a shot at a title.
