This Phil Mickelson Commercial Involving Falconry Is Unintentionally Hilarious

So this commercial ran about a billion and a half times during the Greenbrier this weekend. It seems like a pretty normal commercial at the beginning. Phil Mickelson talking about how much he and his family loved West Virginia so much that they became members at the Greenbrier sporting club. Good enough. Not an uncommonly white people commercial to run during a overwhelmingly white person sport. But then seemingly OUTTA NOWHERE it ratchets it up and Lefty casually lists falconry as one of the activities at the sporting club. The fuck? Now I don’t know about you, but where I’m from falconry couldn’t be less of a thing. I don’t know if I’d ever even heard of it before that commercial. So people just train falcons to come hither at a moment’s notice? Fucking wild. Phil’s listing of falconry with such a laid back, “we do this all the time” demeanor made me laugh out loud. Also, as someone on Twitter pointed out, the tagline “Life As Few Know It” seems particularly condescending and hilarious. Just an all around great commercial.
