The Trailer for Stephon Marbury's Biopic Starring Stephon Marbury is Here (As Well As A More Accurate Version Edited By Myself)

Look, there is a reason why people don’t play themselves in their own biopic. Who would want to star in a movie about their life that makes them look anything less than an amazing human being. Do you think Marbury would willingly film scenes that involve him eating Vaseline while having a mental breakdown? Do you think he’s going to willingly depict himself getting eaten alive in the Shark Tank? Of course not. That’s why when the Barstool Movie eventually gets made Dave is going to have to step aside and let Bradley Cooper play the role so we can get an accurate depiction of his failures and shortcomings as well as his victories. That’s also why I took it upon myself to edit a version of Marbury’s trailer (see above) which I feel gives another, equally valuable, perspective on his career in China.

I will say this, from the trailer it appears that Marbury is from the school of thought that believes fake crying = good acting. 3 crying scenes in a 47 second trailer??? Being a CBA superstar must really suck.

I’ll have to wait and see the movie before coming to any further conclusions but at least the trailer tells me the film will depict one thing 100% accurately: Marbury’s tendency to hide under a towel when faced with adversity.

P.S. Baron Davis looks to be playing the role of the villain in this and it also supposedly features a cameo from Allen Iverson so it will probably still be worth a watch even if it is just Chinese propaganda.
