Puck Goes Into Blues' Net More Than It Goes Into Preds' Net In Game 3

In game 3 the Nashville Predators scored more goals than the St. Louis Blues. Sad. There’s a lot you can say but it mostly boils down to the hockey puck going into the Blues’ net more times than it went into the Preds’ net. 3 times to 1. That by the rules of the game gives Nashville a 2 to 1 series lead.

Nashville pretty much owned us for the first 2 periods but, as is tradition, the Blues hung around. When Steener tipped one home late in the second it was somehow, miraculously just 2-1 heading into the final frame. Bortuzzo hit the upper-nighty post to kick off the third and it felt like we were gonna tie her up.

But then the backbreaker came. Edmundson whiffed in the D-zone, turned the biscuit over, which led to Nashville spending basically all of 2017 in our end. And eventually scoring.

Game could’ve gone differently, but it’s hard to look at these stats and argue the Blue Notes deserved the win.

Game 4 Tuesday night. It’s a late one — 9:30PM EST. Going to be tough in what Pierre McGuire swears is the loudest building he’s been in since the last building he was in but nothing’s impossible. Blues in 6.
