Does This Look Like The Face Of An LSU Offensive Lineman Who Robbed An Apartment While Wearing An LSU Football Shirt With His Jersey Number On It?

BATON ROUGELSU offensive lineman Adrian Magee was arrested shortly after the university announced his suspension from the football team Wednesday.

Head Coach Ed Orgeron announced Magee had been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Magee was arrested shortly afterward on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the warrant, Magee is accused of committing simple burglary at an apartment on W. Chimes Street.

According to Baton Rouge Police, the victim returned to his apartment just before midnight on April 1. The victim says he returned to find the door to his apartment was forced open and he was missing electronic items and cash.

I hate stories like this because there’s always such a rush to judgement.  Like how are we supposed to know it was actually Adrian Magee?  How do we know it’s not a case of mistaken identity?  Why is everyone so quick to just assume the big bad football player is guilty of robbery?

The victim says he was looking through the apartment when Magee stuck his head through the open door and asked the victim if he had been burglarized. The victim says he’s an LSU fan and immediately recognized Magee due to him wearing clothes with his football jersey number on it.

God damnit.

So close to the perfect crime.  He had it all mapped out, probably stayed up late planning it for weeks.  But, in the end, it all comes down to execution, where even the tiniest flaw in your plan can sink you.  Turns out being a 6’4″ 324 pound black dude with dreads wasn’t the most under-the-radar look, and the t-shirt with your LSU jersey number on it…classic misstep.

Hard to be inconspicuous when you’re Adrian Magee IMO.

Almost made it off with quite the haul too.

After the victim told Magee that he was going to check his security cameras to see who burglarized his apartment, Magee walked out and soon returned with several of the victim’s belongings, according to the arrest warrant.

According to the victim, an Xbox gaming console, six Xbox games, Gucci flip flops, an Onyx bluetooth speaker, and $1,200 cash were stolen from the apartment. The victim’s girlfriend’s purse was also dumped out and rifled through.
