Annabelle: Creation Trailer And The Conjuring Franchise

The Conjuring franchise is, in my opinion, the best modern-day horror franchise and it’s not even close. The original Conjuring is one of the best horror movies ever. Conjuring 2 was also great, and Annabelle had its moments. James Wan directed both Conjurings but stepped away for the Annabelle spinoff, which I think hurt the movie a lot. The man simply understands how to scare the shit out of people. He’s back as a producer for Conjuring 2 and I will most certainly be seeing it.

Here’s how good the first Conjuring was–they took an ancillary character/narrative in the Annabelle doll and spun it into two prequels. That doll was scary in Conjuring 1, but she was definitely an ornament in the plot. That clapping game scene in the basement is impossible to watch.

For the full horror experience, go see the movie in its opening weekend at a theater in a diverse neighborhood, if you get what I mean. I’m being 100% sincere. I refuse to watch a horror movie unless I’m part of the minority group in theater.
