This Jonathan Quick Save Has No Business Being Possible In This Reality
There have been millions of nerds in the history of the world who have devoted their entire lives to the study of physics. Ever since Isaac Newton came around and revolutionized the game, people have been trying to tell us what is physically possible here on planet Earth and what is physically impossible here on Planet Earth. Aaaaaaand Jonathan Quick just shoved all of them into a metaphorical locker with this kick save. Hell, he just dug up Isaac Newton’s grave and tea bagged that son of a bitch with that save.
Sure, the Kings were eliminated from playoff contention last night after losing to Arizona 2-1. So in the grand scheme of things, this save means absolutely nothing. But it still should have never happened in the first place. It still defies all laws of physics. He’s on his knees at the far post. Granted he gets a little lucky with Holland shooting it right back at him with the entire net open. But kicking a leg up like that from one knee with goalie pads on in time to make that save with his skate? Get the fug out of here with that sorcery.
