John Wall's Filthy Assist To A Video Game Running Otto Porter Was The Best Play Of The Year

Everyone wants to talk about the assist. And for good reason. It was filthy. John Wall is a bad, baddddd man. He has 32 double-doubles in 52 games. He’s averaging 23 points and 10.6 assists per game. If only he didn’t dance that one time he’d be no-question always in the debate for best point guard/MVP chatter. And last night, with some help from that assist, Wall led the Wizards to a blowout win over the Thunder. And winning…yeah…they are pretty good at that:

Scott Brooks has this team playing ridiculous basketball. John Wall, Bradley Beal, Porter, Keef, and Gortat are one of the best all around starting 5 in the league. I thought their complete lack of depth would do them in, but so far it hasn’t been much of an issue. Beal has stayed relatively healthy (knock on every wooden thing in the world). And Wall…man. He’s just so good.

But all that being said, the true winner of that was not John Wall’s bounce pass. It was Otto Porter, running like an 8 bit video game character who just held down the speed boost button. It lasts for 2 seconds and it’s awesome every time you watch it. Someone one time told him how to run with perfect form and he hasn’t looked back. And it worked! Left everyone in his dust. Fucking love it. Also, John Wall was so excited about the dunk he might have jumped right out of the arena

Two DC teams with the best records in their respective sport over the last few weeks? What could possibly go wrong?!
