The "Baby Bombers" Can Learn A lot From Derek Jeter's Pregnancy

As you may have heard, Derek Jeter is going to be a father and to show us that life can indeed be fair, he’s having a daughter. I’m very happy for him and Hannah and am shore that mixing Hannah beauty with the genes of an biracial angel is going to give us an absolute SMOKESHOW down the line. However, I care more about the example this can set for the young guys who are in the beginning of their careers with the Yankees.

The 2016 and upcoming 2017 seasons bring a lot of new faces wearing pinstripes. Unlike in the past where these were mostly established players coming in on big contracts, the Yankees have a solid farm system and most of these guys have no big league experience. On top of that, they’re so young that most of them have almost no life experience. All of these factors means that on top of having to figure out if these guys can play at the major league level, we have to worry about them going out and doing something stupid off the field because while we want them to be Jeter on the field, they want to be Jeter off the field.

Derek Jeter came up in a time with no Facebook, Twitter or even phones with cameras. As we all know, today’s world is very different. The young Yankees coming up this year are going to be invited to places and they couldn’t imagine and get attention none of us could fathom. However if they look at Derek now, he’s worth millions, with a smoke wife and happy as can be expecting his first child, at 42. His life isn’t over by any means and that’s because he made smart decisions.

Let this be a lesson to all the young guys in Yankees camp. If you’re not married yet, don’t. If you don’t have kids yet, don’t. If some smoking hot girl from some bullshit town really likes you, wrap it up. She doesn’t like you for you, she likes you for the money you could make in the future. Just wait and have a good career where you casually date a bunch of smokes, and use protection, then marry another celebrity who understands what it’s like to be famous. Just follow the Jeter playbook to win and sin while you play then leave it in after retirement.

PS: No one should have kids in their 20’s. Live your life a little bit.

PPS: How about this being announced on The Players Tribune in a post written by Hannah? Is every guy that owns a website giving his girl some time on the site?

And here is just a hot pic of Hannah cause it’s Monday and we all need it.
