The Knicks PR Twitter Handle Just Released A Statement Basically Claiming Everything Charles Oakley Has Said Today Is Bullshit

As expected, last night’s scene has turned into a game of he said, evil awful worst-run organization in sports said today. But damn, I didn’t expect the Knicks to come out with an updated statement claiming a kabillion people all had the same story while implying Oakley was lying his dick off despite the fact he swore on his mother (can’t take that lightly). Now some people in PR would say this comes across as sloppy or petty bullshit. But this is the New York Knicks we are talking about. Sloppy petty bullshit is their game. The Mets may have invented nightmare PR scenarios, but the Knicks have perfected them. Your owner inexplicably beefing with one of the most popular players in franchise history is bad enough. Ending last night’s statement with a patently unnecessary “He should get help” is even worse.

But to then drop more gasoline on the dumpster fire with this statement is absurd. Knicks fans finally were able to move on and just feel the typical shame of rooting for the team before this was dropped from the clouds. Now Knicks fans have to put on their snow gear, find their pitch forks, and re-light their torches. Maybe one day I will look back and realize just how lucky I was to cover the most bumbling sports franchise on the planet. But for now I just want to put a bullet in my brain.

And if all this wasn’t enough, I am now agreeing with Reggie Miller because of the incompetence of James Dolan and Phil fucking Jackson. This is probably the worst part of the entire Oakley saga, to be honest.

We are SO fucked from all this, both short-term and long-term.
