Redskins New Instagram Post For The 2017 Season Features Kirk Cousins But NOT DeSean Jackson...And DeSean Was None Too Pleased

The Redskins made a pretty standard Instagram post last night, one of those “we’re all 0-0 now” things to get people excited for the next season. The picture they put together featured the big names- Trent Williams, Ryan Kerrigan, and of course Kirk Cousins. And well, that’s where the fun begins. Because for 1, as we all know, Kirk isn’t technicallyyyyyy under contract for next season. And because 2, there’s no DeSean Jackson, who is sort of a big name and a guy you would think they would include in a post like this. And DeSean was none too pleased about it, so he dropped off in the comment section to let the social media intern know

What does it meannnnnnn? Is it just feeling slighted that the 22 year old who made the photoshop left him out? Is he hinting that he wants to return to the Skins? Just being dramatic for the sake of being dramatic? A combo of all of the above?

I peg DeSean at about 9% to come back to the Skins. They want to expand Jamison Crowder’s role, save some money, and DeSean is aging and has been injury prone. Everyone and their mother seems to think he’s returning to Philly. If he came back though, would obviously be a big boost to the offense, seeing Jordan Reed is a swift breeze away from his 97th concussion and who knows how Josh Doctson is going to be.

Going to be an interesting offseason for this team, to say the least. Kirk or no Kirk, DeSean or no DeSean, will they sign or draft a safety who can successfully cover and/or tackle…so many questions remain to be answered.
