I’m not gonna name any names, but there have been a decent amount of athletes who have come through Boston and played up the Boston pride thing as a means to pander to the fans, then they’re on to the next city to do the same thing there. It’s fine; I’ve got no problem with pushing the right buttons to get the fans on your side. But then there’s guys like Mike Napoli, who come to Boston and just flat out genuinely fucking love this city. You can take Nap out of Boston, but you can’t take the Boston out of Nap. Case in point — his response to Earl Thomas’ tweet last night.
First of all, let’s not talk about easy routes when these are the garbage ass teams in your division, and Seattle was 3-2-1 within the division.
