Quick HBD shoutout to the GOAT Larry Legend. Crazy to think it’s been 24 years since he retired, and aside from maybe Russell, you could argue Bird had the biggest impact of any player in Celtics history. Bird will forever be my favorite NBA player of all time and he should be yours too. We’ll never get another one quite like Bird because he made no sense. A slow goofy white kid should not have been so great, and yet that’s what made Larry special.
My favorite part of Larry Bird was how he was the ultimate talk the talk and then back it up player. Few could talk the trash Larry did, and then go ahead and prove it.
The debate of whether he or Lebron is the greatest SF of all time will vary depending on who you ask, but I think we all know which way I’m leaning, you don’t see my Saint Bernard named Lebron do you?
