Annnd thus ends the narrative that Trump will lock up Hillary Clinton. It was an excellent campaign tool — make one of your promises that you’ll take your opponent and throw her in jail if elected. It riled people up. It led chants. It fueled the connotations that Hillary was a corrupt insider above the law and not only didn’t deserve to be president, but didn’t deserve her freedom. And it worked.
But now, how can you go and lock up this little old lady just walking her dogs in Chappaqua*?
