Mike Francesa Went In On Odell Beckham For Proposing To The Kicking Net Yesterday

For reference:

Listen, I understand where Mike is coming from on this. The entire ODB saga over the last month or so has left every Giants fan exhausted from defending him while also praying he started balling out again. But the mere thought of Mike getting upset because a football player has a running joke going about his relationship with a kicking net is downright hilarious. Just re-read that sentence and think about it. I’m rolling on the floor over here imagining Mike screaming at his TV about an NFL player proposing to a net while Roe and the kids look on horrified.

Odell Beckham is a different kind of guy. We already knew that from the hair and the constant dancing. And ODB got embarrassed when that net cheap shotted him like a son of a bitch. But everyone knows that the best way to get people to stop laughing at you is to own the joke. And if that means you have to kiss the net, propose to the net, or fuck the net, that’s exactly what you do. Regardless of who you piss off along the way. And if we are being honest, my dream is for this all to culminate with “A NET IS AN INANIMATE OBJECT!” to become the 2016 version of “ANDY PETTITTE IS A STAHTING PITCHER!” Until then, I hope ODB keeps putting up crooked numbers on the field without the subsequent penalty flags immediately after. Especially with the Giants going to London to take on Jeff Fisher and his team of dickboys that loved throwing cheap shots at Odell during their last matchup in 2014 (this was just the final straw after multiple bullshit stunts the Rams pulled during that game).

And of course the Rams took a page out of Greg Schiano’s book at the end of yesterday’s game against the Lions as Detroit looked to run the clock out from the victory formation.

Can’t wait to see what happens next week in England (JK, I’m terrified that the Rams may actually try to kill Odell or Mike Francesa’s head will explode if the net and Odell take the field dressed as a bride and groom).
