Conor McGregor Posted A Pic On His Instagram Of Himself Maybe Possibly Smoking a Joint

New York Post – On Tuesday, Conor McGregor celebrated the UFC’s arrival in New York by declaring that he runs this town, and then he celebrated his takeover by hitting the town — hard.

The UFC featherweight champion was seen partying with a friend in a photo he posted to Instagram on Wednesday morning, holding what suspiciously resembles a marijuana joint.

Hours earlier, wearing the exact same suit, McGregor was sitting on a stage at Madison Square Garden for the official UFC 205 press conference where he declared, “I run New York! I run this whole city!”

I hope I don’t get Conor McGregor fatigue. Both over-exposure and trying too hard to be the crazy guy are both real thing that can happen with McGregor. The thing he has going for him though is everything he does is electric city. He doesn’t repeat antics- it’s always something new, it’s always hilarious, and he can usually back it all up in the octagon. He’s a master promoter- both of himself and the UFC, and definitely, 1000% believes in the “no such thing as bad publicity” mantra.

Weed isn’t banned by the UFC or anything like that, but I’m curious if Dana White wants his number 1 cash cow smoking on Instagram. McGregor obviously plays by his own rules and never has nor ever will care what Dana White thinks, but it’s interesting to think about- what other sport could the biggest name post a picture like that? And furthermore, how long until it’s mainstream, like drinking a beer is? Maybe Conor McGregor is more of a revolutionary than originally thought.
