And Pop Goes The Bears Optimism Bubble
Is that good?
Actually I should back up, the Bears honestly didn’t play THAT bad. I know that’s loser talk but when you have a young team that for the most part sucks you look at games differently. Great first half, awful second half. 2 plays that were absolute killers. The fumbled snap on 4th and 1 in the Texans territory when the Bears should have gotten points and the first drive in the second half when Kevin White stopped his route and Cutler let one fly. Those two plays are the plays you can’t have when you’re fighting an uphill battle with a porous offensive line and a secondary that can’t cover the Texans Wide Receivers. So same old Bears for now. 0-1 in a game that could have been winnable. It’s going to be a long year but my initial thought that the Bears aren’t as bad as people think was confirmed. Now have to learn how to make those small plays to actually win some games. Sounds simple but apparently is pretty fucking hard for us sometimes. Cubs on Sunday Night Baseball, there’s your silver lining.
