Over 150,000 People Are On Hand At Bristol Motor Speedway To Watch Tennessee Vs Virginia Tech

150,000+ people have packed into Bristol tonight to watch the Hokies and Volunteers battle it out in front of the largest crowd in college football history. Over 150,000!  To put it into perspective how big of a venue this is:

Ridiculous. Sucks for the people in the back row of the end zone….but at least they have a jumbo tron at midfield to look at…yes, that’s right:

Or maybe it isn’t that much help?

Lotssss of chatter on Twitter about how nervous that scoreboard makes them. I’d rather not think about it…yikes.

It was an interesting decision though by the Hokies to wear black and grey and not their customary colors in this historic game

I think the jerseys are fresh, but huuuuuuuuuge mistake not coming out to Enter Sandman. How are you going to have 150,000 people (crowd is probably 60/40 TN but that’s ok) and not come out to Enter Sandman?

Overall, a very cool event. 150,000 drunk college football fans just going nuts at a race track with a hovering scoreboard holding on for dear life above the field. Not a bad little appetizer for opening NFL Sunday, not a bad little appetizer at all.
