Angela Lansbury Is Rumored To Be Joining Game Of Thrones For Season 7
IGN- Game of Thrones: Season 7 may soon be adding another member to its cast, as a new report claims Murder, She Wrote star Angela Lansbury is currently in talks to join HBO’s fantasy drama. According to German news outlet Bild (via Heroic Hollywood), Lansbury, 90, will reportedly have a guest appearance in two episodes. While no specifics on the role were shared, she’s said to be on set for four days.
I’m not sure why, but this news has me cracking up. I feel like most of us grew up with our grandparents watching Angela Lansbury solve crimes on Murder She Wrote. And now we may watch her get sassy as fuck with the Queen of Thorns. Or maybe we watch her take an Arya dagger through the eyeball or Khaleesi’s dragon roasts her alive. Perhaps Cersei will torture her ass. That’s the thing about Thrones. Everything is on the table. And as someone that hated the shit out of being forced to watch Murder She Wrote, I hope Lansbury’s death on the show is either slow and agonizing or gruesome and bloody.
Then again, young Lansbury brought the HEAT with those stems. I suppose seeing Littlefinger get back into the brothel business with a mature Lansbury playing the role of the old gritty veteran a la Air Force Amy in Cathouse wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
