So I guess this will be the way it goes this year. Not enough to lose 90+ games for the third year in a row (4th year being under .500). Not enough to have our future franchise pieces, Samardzjia and Starlin, take major steps backwards in their development. Nope, that would be the easy way out. Instead let’s have every team not named the Cubs clinch at Wrigley. I honestly don’t think that has ever happened. Just has to be one of those obscure Tim Kurkjian stats that gets his voice cracking and his dick hard. No team has ever had the opposition clinch a playoff berth on their home field in back to back to days. Rock bottom. Thank fucking god we don’t have a pool.

I’m actually happy for the Pirates and Pirates fans. I genuinely enjoy seeing teams that haven’t been to the playoffs in a long time make it. Like the Orioles last year, or the Royals making a run this year. The one thing that sucks about baseball is that parody doesn’t fully exist. You can miss the playoffs for 21 straight years, and that fucking sucks.
