The Hot New Drunk Trend In The Streets Is Getting Harry Potter's Lightning Bolt Tattoo

Yahoo- Crazes come and go as quickly as the British sunshine, but for a growing group of holidaymakers the craze that’s sweeping across popular destinations like Magaluf and Aiya Napa is ‘Harry Potter-themed. We all love a bit of ‘Harry Potter’, but usually it’s on DVD or Blu-ray, and not the permanent nature of tattoos that these people are getting done. Taking Harry’s iconic lightning bolt on his head, holidaying clubbers are queuing up to get the same ‘scar’ drawn onto their foreheads, as reported by Metro. However, these people are perhaps taking fandom a little too far…

One of two things can happen with this. One, these people are in the vast majority of idiots and everyone will laugh at them and shame them and the trend will be over quickly. That’ll be a tough one to explain at a job interview that isn’t at a Harry Potter theme park. Your decision making skills will directly come into question when they ask why you have a lightning bolt tattoo on your head and the response is, “I love Harry Potter so I got drunk and got it.” The interviews starts and ends right there. Option two is that this catches on like WILD FIRE because people are so obsessed with Harry Potter and there will just be a generation of people who have the Harry Potter tattoo. I actually don’t hate option two. It’s like the age old saying. If everybody has HIV then nobody has HIV. Same goes for a Potter tattoo. If everybody has it then no one has it and it’s not such a big deal. Option 1 will happen.

I’m trying to think of the weirdest thing I’ve ever done for a movie I love. I’ve never gotten a tattoo so that’s out. I guess it would be the Callahan Auto shirt I bought (and then lost)? That’s really it. Obviously Harry Potter is on a different level than Tommy Boy (not in my opinion but the popular opinion) so getting inked up isn’t a huge surprise. Face tattoos are risky business but if you love something, you love something.
