In Its First Common Sense Rule Of All Time...The NCAA Allows Katie Ledecky To Keep Her $40K+ In Medal Money and Stay at Stanford

I don’t even know if I want to live in a world where the NCAA has common sense rules and regulations. You’re seriously trying to tell me a college girl represented her country at the Olympics, demolished World Records (that she set) –

…and was actually allowed to keep the money she earned from it? AND stay eligible to come back to Stanford and continue swimming for them?

This is the same NCAA that suspended a kid for playing in his summer church hoops league, who bans having fun in the dugout, who took weeks to reverse a decision that it was acceptable for a Colorado State hoops player to touch money raised for him in a GoFundMe after his parents, niece and nephew died in a house fire, who investigated the Monmouth Bench Mob, who fined Auburn players for smoking impermissible cigars, who said a kid received illegal benefits for sleeping on a coach’s floor while being homeless. And that’s just my first 2 pages of past blogs here. I could go on for 9. THAT’S the NCAA letting a college kid keep her money? Crazy.

Just a reminder though, don’t you dare flip burgers or find some other kind of minimum wage job to earn money for books and shit. Big no no.
