Taco Bell Is Reportedly Going To Start Testing Out Cheetos Burritos
Foodbeast- Taco Bell just announced that they’ll be testing new Cheetos Burritos starting in August. The beefy new burritos are stuffed with seasoned meat, buttery rice, a cheese sauce and everyone’s favorite puffy cheese snack. We have to say, it’s kind of a relief that they’re not Hot Cheetos for once.
Taco Bell Canada introduced Beefy Cheddar Cheetos Crunchwrap Sliders and Supreme Cheetos Crunchwrap Sliders earlier this year. While the chips are not a first for the fast food chain, it’s the first time they’ll be using Cheetos in US menus. You can expect the upcoming Cheetos Burrito to hit Taco Bell test sites around the US starting in August. They’ll be available for $1.
We saw Burger King bring the thunder by simply teaming up the shape and flavor of a Cheeto with mac and cheese. But in typical Taco Bell fashion, they are on-upping the fast food game. Because while the puffed Cheeto is a solid junk food, the crunchy Cheeto is a first ballot Hall of Famer. Puffed = A respectable Wally Pipp. Crunchy = Lou fucking Gehrig. Taste untasted, I’m saying these will be about an 8.75 because the $1 menu food at Taco Bell always gets a bump since it’s so cheap.
Now I don’t know if this fast food + junk food revolution is a result of more states having legalized weed or colleges offering new/weird liberal arts courses, but I am not going to complain one bit. I’m not much of a chip on sandwiches guy, but sometimes you need that little sizzle to get you through your day. However when it comes to a burrito, anything and everything should always be on the table. An edible hardcore match should reside inside every tortilla in this great country of ours. So adding one of the legends of the junk food game and evolving from the Fritos Burrito was a no-brainer for Taco Bell. Because while Fritos are good, their taste definitely lingers for way longer than anyone signed up for. Plus being surrounded by a tortilla eliminates Cheetos biggest flaw, which is orange fingers (unless you are a savage that licks your fingers once you are done eating said Cheetos).
And the best part about all this is that now Cheetos are a going to be a part of the Taco Bell ingredient list. I think I’ve said this in the past, but I feel like all of Taco Bell menu items come from the same 10 ingredients or so. They just mix up some concoction with whatever isn’t selling the most every 6 months and pass it off as a new item that we will all storm out to buy. Some people will say that the fast food game done changed. But I say the fast food game the same, it just got more fierce.
