Kansas Trying To Claim The Royals World Series At The RNC Is The Saddest Thing I've Ever Seen

My goodness is that the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen. How worthless is Kansas? The only thing they have to brag about at the Republican National Convention is that the state that borders them won the World Series last year. I just googled what it’s good for and a top result was “a good place to retire young.” Yeah, no fucking shit. Because you don’t have to have any actual money to retire there because there’s nothing to do anyway. “Kansas is a great place to go sit on the porch and be bored until you die,” is basically what that says. I mean imagine Rhode Island bragging that it’s a great place for fans of the Boston Red Sox? How fucking pitiful that would be. The midwest gets a lot of shit, what with it being full of flyover states and all, but trying to trick the rest of the country into thinking you have even an insufferable baseball franchise to your name is just pathetic.
