Wake Up With Yoenis Cespedes Hosing Willson Contreras At The Plate

It’s 2016 and guys are still running on Yoenis Cespedes. It’s insane. He doesn’t even smile anymore when he throws guys out, either. He’s probably pissed off and insulted that they even attempted to run on him in the first place.

The outfield assist is a very strange statistic in baseball, and I’ll tell ya why. Power hitters hit a lot of home runs, and power pitchers rack up a lot of strikeouts, but the power outfield arms don’t always tally the most outfield assists. The reason for that, of course, is because after a while, base runners smarten up, and they stop running on the top outfield arms in the game. Cubs rookie Willson Contreras found out the hard way that you don’t run on Yo, as he became his sixth outfield assist victim this season. However, there are still 16 outfielders who have more outfield assists than Cespedes. That’s because most have gotten the memo by now.
